The Tourism Industry is alive and kicking
We are Tourism Swansea Bay, the local trade association. With just under 400 members we are a strong force, lobbying and helping members improve their businesses and gain a higher footfall.
You will see below that there are numerous benefits that are particularly necessary as times get harder for everyone. I believe that the Association is another way for you to raise your game and increase revenue. If you are here for the long haul we need to work together.
Some of the major benefits that our members enjoy include:
- On-line Training at just £30 per person. Certificate and monitoring included
- Special Card Payment Plan. Very low cost terminal, no set up and good rates
- Your own free micro site on the main website
- Regular newsletter with legislation and local information updates
- The opportunity to send out an e-mail to all members
- Regular free networking and seminars usually at a local attraction
- Inexpensive regular training
- Free entry on the West Wales Food website (if applicable)
- Membership Card giving free access to attractions and member discounts
- Free marketing advice
- Discounted advertising on Swansea Council website and promotional material
In addition there are opportunities to meet and work with other members. Joint ventures are a low cost way to market or increase footfall. Regular networking meetings are a way for you to sample local attractions. Recently around 80 members met at Margam Park with good speakers and a chance for a guided tour and try out the “Go Ape”. The last Conference had a high attendance at the LC and many members had stand at the Trade Show, running on the day.
Membership fees have been pegged to be affordable by all and are real value for money.
Finally I believe that this is excellent value and a real necessity now. We are now in the main holiday season and have had some glorious weather. There are many fine reasons for visitors to head to Swansea Bay. It’s just over a couple of hours from London and Birmingham bringing young affluent “short breakers” who come for a couple of days activity or just relaxing. It is an ideal family centre with just about something for everyone. And of course the area is a round-the-year resort. As a trade association we are dedicated to representing our members in all things tourism and working with them on opportunities and business benefits.
